The Schnecksville Fire Department regrets to announce the passing of former life member, trustee and firefighter Daniel W. Yankovich, Sr. Daniel W. Yankovich, Sr. 87, formerly of Schnecksville, died Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Sunrise Senior Living of Lower Makefield, Morrisville, Bucks County.

The replacement trusses and necessary roofing supplies have been arriving steadily over the last two weeks. Today a crane was set up to begin setting the trusses. Note the crane is set up in the Social Hall.

Removal of the remaining damaged portion of the roof began today in earnest. The demo will move quickly, so if you are interested, stop on by. Once removal is complete, [General Contractor] Belfor will place lumber on the tops of the walls to accept the new trusses.

Update on roof collapse: Sections that shelter the kitchen/club area and restroom/lodge room suffered damage in the collapse of the main roof and are to be removed. However, they will remain in place while new supporting structures are designed, approved and ordered.
