An update on our situation here at the Fire Company:
The cause was determined to be straight line winds charging the building and lifting the roof. When the roof settled back down truss members started to break and gravity took over some hours later.
More of the roof must be removed as well, as trusses are damaged. The only sound portion is that which shelters the apparatus.
A building committee to guide the rebuild has been established and meets weekly; Active members also attend weekly work progress meetings. Interested parties are encouraged to attend monthly FC meetings held at 7:30 the second Wednesday of the month on the grounds.
Almost all of the property items have been removed, tagged, and stored on site.
I've attached a few pics of the work in progress.
You can imagine how tough this is on all of us, and we appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
