Update on roof collapse: Sections that shelter the kitchen/club area and restroom/lodge room suffered damage in the collapse of the main roof and are to be removed. However, they will remain in place while new supporting structures are designed, approved and ordered. At the point that the new roof materials begin to arrive, the remaining condemned portions will be demolished.
A building committee to guide the rebuild is established and meets weekly;
All members and interested community individuals may attend monthly meetings held on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM. Meetings are held on the grounds.
We continue to work closely with our insurance agency and its contractors. It appears they are willing to work with us to redesign the building to better serve the community. As this redesign may not be fully covered under the policy, and our cash flow is dramatically diminished, additional fund raising events are in the works, the first being a Benefit Bash on Saturday, 14 October.
